Good afternoon everyone on this Super Bowl Sunday! Rev. Christopher Wolf continued his sermon series during worship today - "Satisfaction Guaranteed". "It's about how we try to find satisfaction in worldly things - but the only true satisfaction of life is found in Christ. Today's message was about approval. Seeking the approval of others is a never ending, never satisfying circle - God's approval is what counts.
Pastor Christopher offers a weekly video message entitled "Christopher's Chat" to summarize his sermon series. Below is this week's episode.
New Members Session
The First New Members Session was held on January 31st. If you are interested in joining the First Reformed Church, please attend the next Tuesday session on February 7th at 7pm. Please contact us for more information.
We want to remind parents to communicate to their children to please not touch the sound system, organ, or copy machines. We have had several instances recently of these important church properties being turned on or adjusted. Please contact Pastor Christopher if you want to be trained on how to use this equipment. Thank you.
Valentine's Day Luncheon
Please join us on Sunday, February 12th immediately following worship for a Valentine's Day Luncheon downstairs in the Van Wyk Fellowship Hall. There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in the hallway.
The Consistory approved the purchase of a new printer for the church's many publishing needs. The cost is $3,600 - which includes a full two-year maintenance agreement and was an excellent price for the machine needed. Members are welcome to make monetary contributions to offset the costs.
