Good afternoon everyone! Today was a busy day here at the First Reformed Church of Saddle Brook. Saddle Brook held its annual township Memorial Day Parade. We served water to many thirsty marchers at our water station. Thank you to all those who assisted in making this year's water station a success! CLICK HERE to view the photos from the water station.
Today's message during worship was "The Heart of the Good Shepherd". The men and women we honor this weekend of Memorial Day represent the heart of Jesus as the Good Shepherd - willing to lay their lives down for the sheep.
We also painted garden stakes and planted them on Friday and Saturday, respectively. CLICK HERE to view photos from the painting event. CLICK HERE to view photos from the gardening event. Thank you to all those who helped with both events and Kathleen Shanahan for coming up with this project idea.
OTHER CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS

Geraniums will be placed in the sanctuary on Pentecost Sunday (next Sunday, June 4th). Forms are available on the table in the back of the sanctuary. Forms and donations are due by Sunday, May 28th and may be placed in the offering plate, given to Evelyn Leseberg, or mailed to the church. You may take home your geraniums after the worship service on June 4th.
Opportunities to Serve
We have updated the committee list, which is posted on the bulletin board in the hallway to the left of the upstairs kitchen. There is a description of each committee as well as the names of the chairpersons and members of each. We, as a community of believers, are called to serve God's church here at First Reformed. Please search your heart to see where the Holy Spirit guides you. "
God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another." ~1 Peter 4:10 New Living Translation
