Good afternoon everyone! This is the day that the Lord has made.
Let us rejoice and be glad in it!
Today is the Fourth Sunday of Advent and Christmas Eve. This morning, we lit four candles on the Advent wreath. The first candle is the candle of expectation and hope. The second candle is the candle of peace. The third candle is the candle of joy. The fourth candle is the candle of love. It reminds us of the sacrificial love of Christ and how it warms cold hearts.
Today's message was "To Sing of Your Steadfast Love". In the final week of Advent, we remember and celebrate God's love - it's a love that is promised, faithful, eternal, and thankfully, it overwhelms sin - through Jesus' birth, life, death and resurrection. So many people feel unloved in this world today; it's an essential message for this season - God has, does, and always will love us - extravagantly.
We invite you to join us tonight for our annual Christmas Eve candlelight service at 5:30pm as we celebrate the Birth of Jesus. We will light the Christ candle on the Advent wreath.
