This Week at First Reformed ~ 2/11/2018

Good afternoon everyone! This is the day that the Lord has made.

Let us rejoice and be glad in it!

This morning, we came together for a time of food and fellowship at our annual Valentine's Day Luncheon. Thank you to Mary Marino and the Fellowship Committee for putting this luncheon together.

This week, Rev. Christopher Wolf concluded his sermon series, "Church Equals". Today's message was "Church=Mission".

Ash Wednesday

We invite you to join us as we kick off the Lenten season at our Ash Wednesday Service this Wednesday, February 14th at 7:30pm.

Christianity 101/Adult Bible Study

Our Christianity 101 Adult Bible Study has a new weekly meeting date! Christianity 101 will now meet on Mondays (except the second Monday of the month for the Consistory meeting) at 7:30pm in the Clements' Room. Please come out and join us for uplifting and insightful discussion about God's word and daily living. The change in dates will take effect on Monday, February 19th.

Sewing Group

On the first Thursday morning of each month at 9:30am, a group of ladies from the Hackensack University Hospital Auxiliary meet here at the church to knit blankets and other items for patients. You are welcome to participate. They welcome donations of fabric and yarn. Please call Cathy at 201-843-6651 for more information.

Vacation Bible School

Come aboard to join us for an exciting week of "Shipwrecked" VBS, where we will hear how Jesus has rescued us through every storm of life and is always by our side. This year's VBS is scheduled for Monday, August 6th through Friday, August 10th from 9am-12pm each day. We are in need of leaders (including teachers) and volunteers in order to have a successful VBS. If you are able to volunteer any time in this year's program, please sign up on the church hallway bulletin board or online by clicking HERE to visit our VBS page. For more information, please contact Thomas Van Winkle.

Coffee Hour

Please check the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board outside the upstairs kitchen, and sign up if you are able to host coffee hour.

Ongoing Clothing Drive We continue to accept bagged or boxed donations of clothing, shoes, accessories, bedding, linens, curtains and towels. All donations may be left outside Pastor Christopher's garage doors in the Ackerman Avenue parking lot anytime.
