This Week at First Reformed ~ 1/6/2019 (Epiphany Sunday)

Good afternoon everyone! This is the day that the Lord has made.

Let us rejoice and be glad in it!

This week is Epiphany. Epiphany is the day when the Three Wise Men visited Jesus. Today's message was "Lift Up Your Eyes", based on scripture from Isaiah 60:1-7. We also celebrated the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper.

Also, special thanks to Ellen MacLeay for serving as our guest pianist this week. Jim Gilbert will return next Sunday.

Pulpit Flower Chart

The 2019 pulpit flower chart can be found on the bulletin board by the kitchen. Please sign your name to reserve the date on which you would like to have the pulpit flowers be in memory of a loved one or in honor of a special person or event. The cost of flowers is $20. Please take the flowers home with you after the service.

Christmas Decorations

The Christmas decorations will be taken down on Saturday, January 12th at 10am. Please let Evelyn Leseberg know if you are able to help.

Choir Rehearsal

There will be no choir rehearsal this Thursday, January 10th. The next rehearsal will be on Thursday, January 17th at 7:30pm.

**NEW** Multimedia Team Members

We are still looking for some volunteers to begin a multimedia team. You will utilize some basic skills. No prior experience required. This is a perfect service opportunity to "get your feet wet". Team members will provide a seamless feed of PowerPoint slides that will be projected on the screen for the congregation to view during our services. Team members will serve one Sunday a month. If you are interested, come speak to Jim Gilbert at the piano or drop him an email at jrg@jamesgilbert.us.

Prayer Cloth Ministry

Have you have placed someone on the prayer list and would like to have a prayer cloth for them? Please contact Kathy Alia or Winnie Caputo. Prayer cloths are also available for special occasions such as baptisms, graduations, confirmations, births, marriages and special anniversaries. For more information on the prayer cloth ministry, click HERE.

Coffee Hour

Please check the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board outside the upstairs kitchen, and sign up if you are able to host coffee hour.
