Good afternoon everyone! This is the day that the Lord has made.
Let us rejoice and be glad in it!
During today's service, Pastor Christopher finished his series, "How May I Serve You?". Today's message was about faith in action. Learn more in this week's Christopher's Chat:
OTHER CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS
Our RCA Assessment for 2019 is $86 per member. For your convenience, there are four blue envelopes (one per quarter) in your envelope box. As a reminder, the assessment is a fee we must pay to the RCA Classis every year. Any assessment money owed to Classis that is not collected in the blue envelopes must then be drawn from the general fund. Please contact any Consistory members with any questions.
2019 Pulpit Flower Chart
The 2019 pulpit flower chart can be found on the bulletin board by the upstairs kitchen. Please sign your name to reserve the date on which you would like to have the pulpit flowers be in memory of a loved one or in honor of a special person or event. The cost of the flowers is $20. Please take the flowers home with you after the service.
Vacation Bible School
It is time to start thinking about VBS. This year's theme is "ROAR" by Group Publishing. This theme discusses how God is good no matter what is happening in our lives. We are in need of leaders and volunteers to make this year's program a success. We will have our first meeting for anyone who is interested in being involved in this year's program in early February. We will also be hosting a FunShop training event that will be presented by members of Group Publishing. For more info on this year's VBS, visit our VBS page or contact Tommy Van Winkle, VBS Director.
Prayer Cloth Ministry
Have you have placed someone on the prayer list and would like to have a prayer cloth for them? Please contact Kathy Alia or Winnie Caputo. Prayer cloths are also available for special occasions such as baptisms, graduations, confirmations, births, marriages and special anniversaries. For more information on the prayer cloth ministry, click HERE.
Please check the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board outside the upstairs kitchen, and sign up if you are able to host coffee hour.
Ongoing Clothing Drive Our continuing clothing drive will accept bagged donations of clothing, clothing accessories, shoes, bedding, household linens, towels, handbags, wallets, jewelry, and backpacks. All items must be of usable quality. We cannot accept toys, stuffed animals, books, cookware, dishes, curtains, pillows, breakable items or furniture.
