This Week at First Reformed ~ 10/20/2019

Good evening everyone! This is the day that the Lord has made.

Let us rejoice and be glad in it!

This week was a special week for our church and community. Our church bell was rededicated with a special dedication service and ringing ceremony. Over 130 people from our church and community attended to see the bell rededicated to the Glory of God.

Saddle Brook Mayor Robert White offered a proclamation on behalf of himself and the Township Council. Other special guests included Council President Florence Mazzer and Councilman David Gierek. The bell was dedicated in memory of Geraldine and Jill Larsen and Audrey Stasion. Members of the Stasion and Larsen families, along with the Confirmation Class, took turns ringing the bell. A special luncheon followed the bell ringing ceremony.

Bell Ringing

After we have dedicated the bell, we will now have ringers for each Sunday starting next Sunday, October 27th. At 10:25am (or five minutes prior to a service), the designated ringer will ring the bell three times to let people know church is starting. Please consult your bulletin for a list of upcoming bell ringers.

Operation Christmas Child

It's almost that time of year again! Our annual Operation Christmas Child packing party is planned for Sunday, November 10th at 3pm downstairs in the Van Wyk Fellowship Hall. We are in need of donations of shoe boxes and other items for the shoe boxes. If you have any questions, please speak to Lynne Wojcik or Tommy Van Winkle. Prayer Cloth Ministry

Have you have placed someone on the prayer list and would like to have a prayer cloth for them? Please contact Kathy Alia or Winnie Caputo. Prayer cloths are also available for special occasions such as baptisms, graduations, confirmations, births, marriages and special anniversaries. For more information on the prayer cloth ministry, click HERE.

Coffee Hour - A lot of help needed!

Please check the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board outside the upstairs kitchen, and sign up if you are able to host coffee hour. All help is appreciated.
