This Week at First Reformed ~ 5/5/2019

Good afternoon everyone! This is the day that the Lord has made.

Let us rejoice and be glad in it!

On this date in 1901, we held our first worship service in our original chapel (pictured below). 118 years later, we continue to be a welcoming community of believers who worships the Lord with Joy. We aspire to be a powerful place of prayer in our community. We give thanks to God for the many blessings He has provided us for all these years, and the many people who have served and continue to serve our church today.

Today's message was a continuation of the "Resurrection Power" based on 1 Corinthians 15:42-50.

Children's Day

We invite you to a celebration of the end of the Sunday School year on Sunday, May 19th at 10:30am. There will be a luncheon to follow downstairs in the Van Wyk Fellowship Hall. Donations of salads and desserts will be needed. If you plan on attending the luncheon, CLICK HERE to sign up online.

Memorial Day Parade

We are considering marching in the Saddle Brook Memorial Day Parade. The parade is scheduled for Sunday, May 26th at 1:30pm. We will meet at the corner of Schepis Avenue and Fair Lawn Parkway at 1pm. The parade will start on Fair Lawn Parkway and proceed down Cambridge Avenue to Saddle River Road to Market Street. The parade will end by Washington School.

Vacation Bible School

Planning is still underway for VBS 2019. We are looking for volunteers and leaders to help lead the children down the Christian path. VBS is currently scheduled for August 5-9 from 9am-12pm each day. There will be a VBS meeting on Monday, May 6th at 7pm in the Clements Room. To sign up to volunteer, VISIT OUR VBS PAGE or sign up on the hallway bulletin board.

Prayer cloths are also available for special occasions such as baptisms, graduations, confirmations, births, marriages and special anniversaries.
